Commission Information

I am currently open for art and character design commissions!

For initial inquiries or questions, you can message me on Bluesky (@polassar.bsky.social), Tumblr (@polassar), Toyhouse (polassar) or E-mail (convergence800@outlook.com). When I have accepted your commission request, I will use either Discord or E-mail for communication during the process of making the artwork.

I can draw practically anything, whether it's humans, animals, anthropomorphic creatures, machines, landscapes, and any combination thereof. I am also open to drawing suggestive, fetish, or sexually explicit subjects, though there are some things I refuse to draw sexual art of. Just ask.

Terms of Service

By commissioning me, you are agreeing to the terms below. You must be 18 or older to commission me. If you are approaching me for a commission then I will assume this is the case.

Payment

• I take payment in USD through PayPal Invoice. I take the full payment for the order upfront, and will not begin working until I receive payment.
• If I am later unable to complete your commission after receiving payment, I will give a partial or full refund depending on how much work was already done. Refunds will not be given for work which is fully completed. Please do not do chargebacks on invoices without contacting me first.
• For commissions with multiple different characters within the same image, the price is the base commission type price multiplied by number of characters. (doesn't apply yet to any of the options below, but mentioning this for later when more standard commission types are added...)

Process

• Usually I need some form of visual reference to work from when doing a commission, with the exception of custom designs. I can work with really simple descriptions/no character reference if you just want me to draw some random animal or series monster. If all you want is a hot anthro Rathalos, I'm fine with that.
• If commissioning art that includes a character belonging to someone else, please let me know and give me some kind of confirmation from the character owner that they're okay with it. I'm also open to drawing my own characters in a commission.
• I can send progress images for any stage (such as the sketch, lines, etc) on most commissions, unless otherwise stated in the type description. You can give feedback on these progress checks and tell me if I need to change anything. Once a stage has been approved, I will not make changes to it later in the process.
• I usually complete individual pieces within a couple of weeks, but this can vary depending on how long my current queue is, my schedule, and so on. Large and complex commissions will take longer, simpler ones I sometimes can finish within a week. If I believe it will take longer than a few months for me to start or finish your commission, I will let you know.
• If you want alternate versions of a piece (like shaded/unshaded, alternate color palettes, clothed/unclothed, etc) please tell me from the beginning. Especially for unshaded versions of shaded pieces - the way I like to paint colors and markings makes it hard to remove shading later on. Alternate versions which require color editing or drawing new parts of the image will add an extra fee to the commission price.

Usage

• You may use commissioned art and character designs for whatever personal/non-commercial purposes you'd like, including reuploading, editing, using as an icon/banner, using in stories and art, etc.
• I also reserve the rights to display the finished art on my own website or social media. If you want your commission to be completely private/not posted anywhere, please tell me.
• Generally I am fine with commercial use, but please contact me first. Licensing fees may apply if using artwork or a character design in a commercial project.
• You may not use commissioned art and character designs for NFTs or generative AI training.
• Once a commissioned piece or design is complete, I am not liable for anything the commissioner chooses to use the art or design for. I cannot control what other people do after I have delivered their commission.

Commission Types

Simple Character Design: $70

Send me a species, theme, color palette, mood board, or any other combination of inspiration material (as well anything you specifically do not want in the design) and I will make a new character design from it. I can also do redesigns or upgrades of an existing design, by me or anyone else (as long as their TOS also allows it). Includes one fullbody drawing, with very simple shading to show material or form.
This type of design commission does not have sketch or progress checks, the end result will be somewhat a surprise but still based on the idea you provided for me. It is meant to be a cheaper, faster, and simpler alternative to the Detailed Character Design commission type.

Detailed Character Design: $150

Like the Simple design option, send me whatever inspiration material or ideas you'd like, and anything you want or don't want in the design, and I will make a new character design from it. Redesigns and upgrades of existing designs are fine here, too. Includes two fullbody drawings, which can be used to show different sides of the character, a different form or palette, etc. One fullbody can also be substituted for two detail shots of certain parts of the body, like the head or limbs. All drawings involved will have simple shading to show material and form.
This type of design commission has a much more involved process, where I make multiple concept sketches to figure out the design, and will send them to you for feedback. I can do progress checks at any stage for this type of commission.

Experimental: $50-$???

I'm still in the process of making commission examples and figuring out exactly what I want to offer, but in the meantime, I'm open to doing more experimental or creative freedom commissions. Pricing for these is flexible, roughly corresponding to the pricing of my other work. You can give me any amount of money (minimum $40) and I'll make something fun for you. Or you can pick a piece from my existing work and ask for a pricing quote for something similar... etc. This commission type does not have progress checks.
